About Lynktern

Lynktern is a platform that connects Nigerian students with internship opportunities and provides AI-powered tools to track, manage, and document SIWES experiences.

Lynktern is not an employer, recruiter, or educational institution.

Eligibility

To use Lynktern, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Use the platform for lawful purposes only

User Roles

Users may register under one of three roles:

• Students — document and manage SIWES experiences
• Companies — post and manage internship opportunities
• Administrators — moderate platform activity

Each user is solely responsible for all activities conducted under their account.

Platform Responsibility

Lynktern provides tools for connection and tracking but does not guarantee internship placement or verify all user-submitted content.

We are not responsible for workplace conditions, employer or intern conduct, or payment agreements between users.

User Responsibilities

All users are expected to maintain honesty and professionalism on the platform.

• Students must provide truthful information and avoid submitting false reports
• Companies must provide accurate internship descriptions and maintain professional conduct
• Neither party may engage in exploitative, abusive, or fraudulent practices

Reports & Moderation

Users may report other users or listings for misconduct. Lynktern may review reports, adjust trust scores, and restrict or suspend accounts.

False or malicious reporting may result in penalties to your own account.

Trust & Scoring System

Lynktern uses a trust scoring system based on activity, feedback, and reports. This score may affect your visibility and access to certain platform features.

Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Lynktern. By using the platform, you grant us a limited license to display, store, and process your content solely for platform functionality.

Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraud, abuse, or harassment
• Receive repeated verified negative reports

Limitation of Liability

Lynktern is not liable for any damages arising from internship experiences, user interactions outside the platform, or loss of opportunities or income.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes your acceptance.
